NSB Online Information for Individuals / Consumers
Most customers will have access to all of their Newtown Savings Bank deposit and loan accounts. However, certain transactions may not be available for all of your accounts. Below are just some of the features of NSB Online:
- Obtain current account balances
- View images of your checks
- Check deposits made to your account
- Review ATM and Visa Check Card purchases
- Check to be sure automatic payments have been made
- Review your account history
- Obtain statement transaction detail on your accounts
- Print recent statements
- Download transactions to Microsoft Money, Quicken, Quickbooks, or to a .txt or .csv file.
- Obtain interest rate information
- Transfer funds between selected accounts
- Set up recurring transfers between your eligible accounts
- Transfer funds from your deposit accounts to make payments to your loan accounts
- Send stop payment instructions for checks drawn on your checking account(s)
- Send E-mails to Newtown Savings Bank
- Make payments (With optional Bill Pay)
Additional Details
Although you may have joint Deposit or Loan Accounts, NSB Online access is assigned by individual. Additional Account owners may enroll in NSB Online if they wish to have their own NSB Online ID and password.
During the enrollment process, you'll be asked to provide a keyword. If you require assistance accessing NSB Online, a Bank employee will ask you to supply your keyword for identification purposes. We encourage you to choose a unique word that you will remember.

NSB Online Banking is a free service to individuals and our system operates in "real time." In most cases, that means your Account is immediately updated as you perform transactions online, in person, or via our bank-by-phone service.
Funds transfers occur either on the date of entry, on the following business day or on a specified date entered, depending on when you transmit the transfer instructions. Newtown Savings Bank's business days are Monday through Friday, except on established Bank holidays when we are closed. Funds transfers requested on non-business days will be posted on the next business day. If a fund transfer is created after 6pm, the funds transfer activity report will appear in your records the next business day.
Payments will be applied based on the following schedule:
- Business Loans paid within 10 days prior to the due date -> Applied to the next payment due (interest and principal.)
- Business Loans paid more than10 days prior to the due date -> Applied to principal only. Next payment will remain due on the due date.
- Personal Loans paid within 15 days prior to the due date -> Applied to the next payment due (interest and principal.)
- Personal Loans paid more than 15 days prior to the due date -> Applied to principal only. Next payment will remain due on the due date.
